This program is designed by Sarah Tooke, who is a Registered Midwife and currently the Antenatal Midwife Co-ordinator at The Mater.

 

Sarah and her team of Mater midwives have worked extensively in all areas including birth suite, postnatal, special care nursery, antenatal education, infant massage & emotional wellbeing screening.

Small Groups are led by two highly experienced midwives, these workshops empower you with everything you need to know about birth & parenting with the option of a streamlined one day workshop or 2 shorter evening workshops.

These workshops are perfect if you want a face-to-face antenatal class and the benefits of a group dynamic. Workshops are specifically designed for Mater Maternity clients and are held at a convenient Crows Nest venue. We also offer the option of 1 shorter weeknight workshop designed specifically for those who know they are having a planned caesarean.

All face-to-face classes include a full 12months access to the online Childbirth & Parenting Program to complement your learning (*Valued at $450)

Pregnancy & Birth

Workshop structure

Classes run on a Saturday from 9am to 5pm in Crows Nest, Sydney or two Thursday evenings from 5-9pm.

There's a maximum of 12 couples to ensure an intimate environment, easy access to experts and the ability to meet other expectant parents.

The Workshop condenses all the essential information on Birth and Parenting into one Saturday or 2 evenings, with regular breaks to eat, mingle with other parents and ask questions.

The event will be COVID-safe.

Lunch, morning and afternoon tea and refreshments will be provided.

The course is designed by Sarah Tooke, an award-winning midwife with over 15 years experience and 10 of those spent educating thousands of couples in birth and parenting at The Mater Hospital, North Sydney.

Sarah is joined by a team of experienced fellow midwives with over 20 years combined experience to ensure you receive the latest evidenced based education to prepare you for your upcoming birth and parenting journey. Each workshop will be facilitated by 2 midwives to ensure ample opportunity to ask questions.
